McGavick Steps Down as Safeco CEO,
Saying he wants to 'Consider the possibility of public service'.
So that's basically it, barring him dropping dead in the next few days, he's all but in.

I'm a moderate Republican and I'm really concerned about McGavick - the guy has a slogan that reads: "It's time for a man to represent Washington."
Aren't we concerned about this? That sure does alienate a large constituency.
Any other good candidates out there to run against Cantwell????
I think maybe he's just emphasizing diversity. WA state is lacking in gender equity when it comes to senior elected officials. Of course, equity considerations don't apply for those of the male persuasion.
Where have you seen that slogan?
Gregoire used it when she was running for Governor, saying it would be neat to have all 3 big statewide offices being held by women, but she dropped it after a while.
I seriously, seriously doubt McGavick is trying that, you'd have to prove it to me, but if he is, you are right and it's stupid to use it.
