Tebelius Mulls Run
Here's the King County Journal article.
Hmm. Interesting. I know Diane, and think she'd be a pretty good candidate, but I'm weary of a primary, and it doesn't look like McGavick is likely to get out.
Still, if she does run, which seems increasingly likely, it'll be a tough choice for me. McGavick seems good on paper, but he hasn't been impressive so far. That might change, however.
And Diane has the connections, at least as much as McGavick. She's more wired then your local Radio Shack, and I think she's better liked by the Republican base.
Well, it's certainly going to get interesting.

With all do respect your missing
a couple things in regard to the race.
First of all McGavick has not
decided if he is going to run
yet.
At the momment diane tebelius
it looks like she isnt going
to run.She recently learned that
McGavick raised about 500,000
dollars.Diane was very very
disheartend by that.
The biggest thing is Mike Mcgavick
and Diane Tebelius are waiting to
see what Susan Hutchison will do.
McGavick recently did a poll it
show in a head to head primary
Hutchison beats him easily.
Add that to the fact that Chris
Vance assured McGavick there
would be no opponents in the
primary.That appears to not be
the case.My belief is that if Susan
Hutchison does decide to run and
its looking more and more likely
that she will McGavick wont run.
It would be highly unusual for McGavick not to run. Rarely do people who set up 'exploratory committees' and hire staff end up not running.
You might be right about Diane. I've heard nothing about Huchinson in a while. Why are you so sure that if she did get in she'd beat McGavick? Is she to his right on any significant issues? Who's backing her?

on just about everything.Well I
know that he has set up an
exploratory committee and he
has raised some money.
The polls show it isn't even
close Hutchison beats him easily.
McGavick wants no part of that
Otherwise why not announce?
The other problem with McGavick
is the baggage he carrys from
safeco.The state and SEC are
investigating safeco as we speak
I'm told its serious enough there
could be some jail time.I know
for a fact that the democrats
have the goods on him and are waiting
until after the primary to launch
there attack ads.
As for who is backing Susan If
you mean the big names.Ie gorton
dunn,evans,sharkansky,munro,reed
Vance. they are all in the tank
for McGavick.Understand that other than
sharkansky thats how these people
opperate.
One other thing that might interest you.Grover Norquist of
the americans for tax reform.Has
been around with his pledge for
the candidates in the race to
sign to oppose all tax increases
well only Susan Hutchison signed
it.Its true Grover himself told me.

Seems as if another 6 years of Senator Cantwell will go down well...
